The plate acts as a barrier for items that fit snuggly on the dolly. When the plate is down, it makes room for any oversized products that are too long to fit perfectly square onto the platforms of the dolly. The front of the dolly is an open design that makes it easy to secure any sort of pulling device that may be used.
