With the so-called Hall Effect technology, the joysticks achieve exceptionally precise motion detection with an accuracy of 0.01°.
This means that even the smallest movements are translated with high accuracy, which is particularly beneficial for simulations. The built-in Hall Effect joysticks also solve a fundamental problem of analog joysticks: stick drift. This issue eventually affects every joystick.
By using Hall Effect joysticks, Thrustmaster eliminates this problem. Since the user's input is measured with magnetic fields, there is no mechanical wear on the measuring sensors. As a result, the joysticks are more durable and maintain precision over a longer period.
The overall package is rounded off with customizable RGB lighting and two additional buttons that can be freely assigned. In the manufacturer's proprietary software, users can also adjust the lighting, joystick sensitivity, and the activation distance of the triggers as well as the two additional buttons.
