Our Juice Groove Routing Jig makes the process of routing the grooves easy, accurate and adjustable. The jig adjusts to accommodate cutting boards up to 18'' x 18'' in size, and includes attachments to create corner radii and to rout channels around square, round or triangular through-handle openings. Use the jig with our optional Rounded-Shoulder Juice Groove Router Bits, available in two groove widths: 3/8" and 1/2", big enough for even the juiciest watermelon, but not so big that the grooves are distracting or detract from usable space.
Juice Groove Router Jig Details: Adjusts in both directions to simplify the process of routing a uniform juice groove on cutting boards up to 18'' x 18'' in size - Rides against rails and corner guides to rout a groove centered 1'' in from the edges - Use with cutting boards from 3/4'' to 1-1/4'' thick; thicker boards require spacers under the jig, while thinner boards require a spacer under the board - Guide bushing mounts to any plunge router baseplate with a 1-1/4'' diameter center hole - Clamping brackets mount to the outside of the rails so jig can be clamped to the work surface or attached to a substrate with #8 screws - Clamping brackets attach in two orientations—one for cutting boards from 3/4'' to 1'' thick and another for boards from 1'' to 1-1/4'' thick - Corner radius guides produce a curve at the corners with a 1/2'' radius on the inside edge - Includes three additional corner guides for offsetting a juice groove around handle openings made with a 1-1/4'' diameter Forstner bit or the triangular or square section of the Rockler 4-in-1 Cutting Board Handle Routing Template (#68393, sold separately)Works with our Rockler Rounded-Shoulder Juice Groove Bits (sold separately), which work similarly to core box bits, but also apply a nicely rounded edge to the groove Important Notes: Use only with a plunge router.
