In tests here at Plugable, this new cable transferred data three times faster than the old cable when tested between computers with USB 3.0 ports.
The new cable retains all the features of our current transfer cable, including a free license to the reliable Bravura Easy Computer Sync Windows software. The Bravura software supports fast migration of personal data from an old Windows computer to a new one as well as synchronizing folders between two computers an on-going basis. The new cable especially shines in this scenario, since two newer computers are likely to have USB 3.0 ports available.
The new USB 3.0 cable also works great in when one or both of the computers has only USB 2.0 ports, but it will be limited to USB 2.0 speeds. The USB 2.0 cable will also remain an option for this situation.
