Notifications can be activated on the smartphone or connected watch, alerting you in real time to the animal's comings and goings, battery life, etc. For added security, the flap is equipped with several closing points and is tinted to obstruct the view into the home. A gasket around the flap limits heat loss.
Selective entry authorizes access only to dogs and cats wearing the medallion; one medallion is included in the basic kit, additional medallions can be purchased separately. Only the M-size door is compatible with RFID identification chips. There is no limit to the number of animals that can be accommodated, simply equip each animal with a tag, or pair the RFID chips with the door.
The gate requires a broadband Internet connection (2.4 GHz), and is powered by 4 batteries (not included) (LR14 for size M - LR20 for size L) or by a wall adapter (optional). Using the door requires patience and practice, and a training video is available to explain how to train your dog or cat to use the device.
