- I did also notice that the SC101 software must be installed on every computer on the network that will access the unit. - On the face of it, if your running an older Operating System (or you know that it will work with the Operating System that you do use) and you've got a couple of 500GB IDE drives laying around, why not turn them into a Tera - Byte of network storage? Or perhaps a 500GB mirrored network drive is possible? A Google search directed me straight to the Netgear Product Support page, where I found the Installation Guide, Data Sheet, Reference Manual and Setup Manual. At the moment there's only one 120GB IDE hard drive installed.
- I should think that this is an early NAS drive because it does say on the box that it works with Windows 2000, Windows XP and Windows Vista - I DON'T KNOW WHETHER YOU CAN USE IT WITH WINDOWS 7 OR WINDOWS 10. Ideal for sharing photos, music, games, videos and office documents. - Plugged it in and it all seems to be working OK.
This device can take two IDE hard drives
