These variable rate springs change resistance as they compress and become progressively stiffer as the load increases. Springs are vinyl-coated for corrosion resistance. Tightly spaced coils provide the smooth ride expected from a constant rate spring, while widely spaced coils provide the load-carrying characteristics that minimize deflection and maintain level chassis height and proper alignment when loaded.
