It can identify some states in the telephone line. It can be used as cable tracking, checking short circuits, locating open circuits, wire identification. In TONE Mode, connect the red clip to the wire and the black clip to the ground, and Then trace the wire to the disconnected position.

In CONT Mode, connect two clips to each end of the circuit cable. When the Red LED indicator lights is on, it indicates that the wire is short-circuited or broken. Two alligator clips are used to connect the line.

Before checking the circuit, the power supply in the circuit must be cut off to avoid the risk of electric shock. The RJ-11 plug are used to identify the status on the telephone line that works (Clear, ring, busy). The sender and receiver of the tool must be equipped with batteries to work properly, so please install a 9V battery on the sender and receiver before use.
