Starting with the construction, Konekt HF2 follows the same unique design originally introduced in the Konekts. The skate consists of a twopiece design, a customisable Anaform thermoform shell and a foam liner with an Ultralon ankle cuff. Both parts are thermoformable to provide the most customised fit you can get, and the HF2s feature the same unique buckle strap system as the original Konekts.
Bauer tweaked the design based on feedback from both amateur goalies and their NHL players to improve the durability and usability of the design. The back of the skate features Bauer's HingeFlex system. This design allows the ankle and top of the foot to flex forward up to 22 degrees to keep the skate in contact with the foot and leg as you lean forward in your stance.
