The aluminum protective hood protects the top of the awning from sunlight, wind, snow, and rain, when retracted.

The frame is powder-coated, commercial grade steel and aluminum. The fabric canopy is made out of Beauty-Mark branded 100% woven acrylic fabric and is available in a variety solid and stripe colors. A valance is included and can be easily removed and stored during off-seasons.
