The illumino ZWave switch uses Aeotec's Gen7 technology which includes a ZWave 700 series chip featuring the latest Zwave technology, longer range, better security, enhanced wireless connection and lower power consumption. It also supports SmartStart for easier inclusion with compatible hubs. The ZWA037 illumino switch support ZWave 700 plus it's backwards compatible with older ZWave.
It works with the Samsung and Aeotec SmartThings hub as well as other ZWave certified systems. illumino is smaller than most smart switches, at only 1.18 inches (30mm) deep so it fits more easily in to tight single or multi-gang wall boxes. illumino can be installed as a single gang (single switch) and can also work in a 3 way (2 switches) installation.
It works with a standard 3 way remote switch - it does not require a smart remote switch.
