This means it fits in anywhere and can easily be taken to the next gig in a rucksack. Eurorack modules as well as samplers, drum machines and synthesisers can be connected to the six stereo inputs (3.5mm TRS). These can be combined into six stereo or up to 12 mono tracks, each with its own control for recording and playback.
Each track can be routed independently to the three outputs and effect sends and has volume control, gain, parametric 4-band EQ, pan, mute and solo. The bluebox also has global effects such as a high-quality reverb, delay and compressor. The individual tracks or the main mix can be recorded directly in the bluebox on standard micro SD cards micro SD cards.
This means that a recorded jam session can be conveniently edited in a DAW afterwards. The 3.5-inch touchscreen provides precise visual feedback and the four knobs and the navigation and transport buttons give direct access to the most important functions. The MIDI input and output can be used to synchronise external devices, effects and the metronome.
With its compact dimensions of just 14 x 13 x 5 cm, there is always room for the bluebox, even on the most cluttered studio desk.
